Side Effects
It may be that one day a super potion or a super drug will be discovered that has no side effects whatsoever. However, HGH does come close when used properly. For all the benefits HGH conferred on individuals in the Rudman experiment, it did also manifest a tendency to bring on some unwanted side effects, the main two being carpal tunnel syndrome (a painful condition of the wrist) and gynecomastia (enlarged breasts). Later studies have shown that these side effects can be virtually eliminated - while at the same time retaining the benefits - by giving smaller amounts more frequently, than had been administered by Dr. Rudman. A very different application of HGH, treatments administered by Dr. Robert Kerr in San Gabriel, California, also produced a host of positive results. In this case, Dr. Kerr had prescribed HGH to numerous patients in his family practice, many of whom were youthful athletes and bodybuilders, and all of whom were already in good physical condition. Yet even here, where there was much less room for improvement, excellent results were achieved, particularly with strong gains in muscle mass, and significant losses of fat. | ||
