Immortality (page 1/3)

To live forever - that has always been the dream.
But in the past, few, if any, have ever really thought it possible, except for the Clan McLeod.
As a measure of how prized immortality was we need only consider that most religions posited eternal life as the ultimate end. The trouble was, you had to die to attain it.

Whereas: "More time spent in this reality means more time to praise the wonders of God."

Today is different.
There is a host of information that separates us from ages past.
We know more; we can do more.

And some of the things we can do are truly impressive. This has led some people in recent years to contend that immortality is not only possible, it is inevitable. Whether possible, probable, or inevitable, most people today are still quite skeptical. However, it never hurts to keep an open mind.

British poet William Blake wrote: "What we know now is not the same that it shall be when we know more."

The meaning inherent in these words is that although we may hold a particular concept at a particular point in time, this concept may well become altered as we come into more information.
