Chromium
Chromium has also been shown to promote lower levels of triglycerides and LDL cholesterol, which is the bad cholesterol. It is not surprising, then, that optimal levels of chromium are conducive to good heart health.
As a further plus, chromium plays an important part in the body's use of protein, and in the formation of muscle tissue. On the other hand, given the benefits of chromium, it is well worth the care in making sure we get enough of it.
