Section III
Priming the Pump

We have seen that obesity tends to bring on lowered levels of HGH. This provokes an intriguing thought:

Would it be possible, in people who are obese, to induce a restored level of HGH?

A research group in Santiago, Spain, headed up by Fernando Cordido, set up an experiment to answer just that question. They used a combination of Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH) with a new HGH releasing drug called GHRP 6. Treating patients who were more than 130% over their ideal weight, Cordido found that the two substances produced a powerful synergistic effect. The patients exhibited huge releases of HGH. Cordido had demonstrated "...that the blunted GH secretion in obesity is a functional and potentially reversible state."

It is possible to prime the pump!

Where this result will lead upon further experimentation is anybody's guess.
But it does underscore once more that in the field of anti-aging, the possibilities appear unbounded.
