Traditional Marketing is the approach used over the past 100 years: "pay and pray" advertising.
Companies spend advertising dollars (newspaper, radio, television, billboard) for their product or
service and pray that people will see it and purchase their product or service.
The second type is affiliate marketing which has recently gained popularity with the advent
of the internet and e-commerce. Companies advertise their product or service on the internet
and only pay when they know their message is received by people actually coming to their
site or when people purchase their product or service. This is "pay for results" marketing and
it is one reason why the advertising revenue in traditional marketing is going down every year
and advertising on the internet is growing dramatically every year - companies simply would rather pay for results.
The third and newest type is i-Commerce - it's what we do.
It's "referral-based interactive distribution" - based on word-of-mouth; the most effective form of advertising.
Like affiliate marketing, it's a "pay for results" model.
But the difference with i-Commerce is who gets paid.
We are paid for teaching people the benefits of shopping at wholesale online
and thereby create business for these same companies. |
